Gen8 provides solutions for organizations that need the ability to find, then convert email for their archival solution.
Emailchemy Harvester will scan all the workstations on a local network for files that contain email. Any files found to contain email will be packaged up and transmitted to a centralized server to be converted using Emailchemy or for further processing by your organizations email solution.
Emailchemy enables the long-term preservation and archival of the information in email by converting the native email formats of email applications to standard, durable, plain-text formats based on the open standard Internet Message Format (RFC-2822).
Specifically, Emailchemy Conversion Technology can take proprietary email files and convert them to:
- RFC-2882 message files, or
- standard aggregate formats of RFC-2822 messages such as mbox, maildir, and maildir++, or
- CSV files to enable the storage of email in database systems.
